VIVA FALL RIVER CREATIVE ECONOMY PLAN
Harnessing community collaboration to support the creative economy
Fall River is rich in history, culture, and diversity. The Viva Fall River Creative Economy Plan offers a vision for arts, culture, and creativity in the city that celebrates the past and builds on the present to make the city the best possible place to live, work, invest, play, and visit.

CivicMoxie lead the planning process and was guided by 12 member FRACC Steering Committee (and 79-member FRACC membership). Started just before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Viva Fall River planning process used zoom meetings, community outdoor events, and feedback through community partners to inform the plan elements. The effort was, and continues to be, open source; anyone and everyone is invited to join if they are committed to collaboration and improving the quality of life for Fall River residents by growing opportunities and support for the arts, culture, and creative economy of the city.

CivicMoxie conducted inventories for art spaces, publicly accessible art, and restaurants. Community outreach highlighted strengths and needs within the community and over the course of many months FRACC developed plan goals and strategies. The Creative Economy effort is now moving to the next phase of hiring professional full-time leadership.
